Welcome to my blog. Fabric has always been a passion of mine! I love looking, touching, feeling, smelling and of course creating with fabric. I was a professional seamstress for 13 years and now sew for relaxation and the pure joy of seeing a finished creation. It is my hope to share my triumphs and temptations with you. Love to all. Western Washington Shop Hop

What a weekend! My first ever Shop Hop!! The Western Washington Shop Hop started on Wednesday and ended Sunday. My sister and I traveled about 250 miles to hit up shops from Duvall to Lynden. We had a lot of fun. Great people, fantastic shops and fun fabric. A few of my personal favorites: Cotton Pickens in Stanwood - (Hawaiian style)
Calico Creations in Lynden
and Keepsake Cottage in Bothell. All the shops were great and each one deserves to be mentioned. For a list check out the link: www.washingtonquiltshophop.com

Next year I am heading south. So excited I can't stand it!

We got our passports stamped, entered raffles for quilts from many (my favorite was the Wedding Ring Quilt hanging at Lynda's Quilt Shop in Bellingham) and picked through lots of bolts and fat quarters. I now have a good stash to begin a 1930's scrap quilt. Not sure where that will be fitting in on my list of projects, but I just know its is one I have to make.

As for now off I go to get rested up for another busy week: Preparing Wedding invites to mail, meeting with the BOM group, attending Baby Shower and of course the 4th of July. - Go America!!

My first Post

We all begin a conversation about the weather when we meet someone new. And lately we all have had some out of the ordinary weather. Summer is almost here and I for one am looking forward to some lazy days, spending time with family at the cabin and working on projects that don't require being cooped up in the house.
I recently took a road trip and checked out some far away quilt shops, Bear Paw in Couerdelane (sorry) and Buggy Barn in Reardon. I found some fabrics new from market- for a fun project and some stars and stripes to share with the guild I recently joined.
Do get out and enjoy a road trip or two. Visit your favorite places or check out new ones. As for me I'll keep creating, shopping and keep you all up to date on my adventures.
